I heard this rumour on a podcast 2 days ago and i'm still thinking about it.. It's about popular Indian movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukherjee..

For those who are unfamiliar with Hindi film industry,

Ayan & Ranbir have been best friends since their childhood. Ayan is now a film-maker and has worked with Ranbir on a very successful movie before.

Katrina & Ranbir have also worked on multiple films together and were in a live-in relationship for quite some time.

Meanwhile, Alia, a much younger actress made her debut & like every other giddy t(w)eenage Indian girl, never shied away from admitting her crush on Ranbir. She also happened to share a gym-trainer with Katrina and that's how Alia & Katrina ended up being each other's besties.

Then one day, news broke that Ranbir has been cheating on Katrina with some local Delhi girl(?) and the Ranbir-Katrina relationship has started to fall apart..

At around same time, Ayan had signed up Alia and Ranbir for his next movie.

While all of their other friends tried to patch up Ranbir-Katrina's relationship, Ayan apparently refused to do so & chose to be on his childhood-buddy Ranbir's side.

Subsequently, Ranbir-Katrina grew distant from each other but- Ranbir apparently started falling in love with Alia!

Alia ofcourse was over the moon about this development, and Katrina- even though it took her some time to come around- decided not to let this break her ties with her BFF Alia. Okay, now we come to the rumor that started this train of thought- umm.. so.. apparently, throughout the making of their film, it has become quite evident that Ranbir hangs out a lot more with Ayan compared to with Alia.. Alia is fine with it because she likes Ayan & Ayan is "very possessive of his BFF" Ranbir.. this behaviour is nothing new for Ranbir's parents as well.. bt some say that's just the tip of the iceberg.. the real story is that Ranbir & Ayan are in a relationship, Alia is Ranbir's beard. Alia is so smitten by Ranbir that she's willing to stay in this relationship and wants a formal engagement ceremony to make it official. Ranbir's parents (who btw, are also big league and conservative veteran movie stars) are also aware of Ranbir-Ayan relationship & are eager to make Ranbir-Alia's relationship formal. They're all basically just waiting for Ranbir to agree for the ceremony. Now, I'm not someone who keeps up with Indian film industry gossip.. this podcast was a first in 5 years and I'm taken aback by all of this information LMAO
